They refuel the trains at Small World when you are waiting at the Toontown Station. They refuel them with a diesel kind of gasoline. They refuel the trains once or twice a day.

About the train in Toontown getting filled up with diesel gas...I got on the train at Main Street and we were talking with the conductor--he let us take turns sitting on this single seat just behind the car where the conductors sit. There is only room for one person. Anyway, when we got to the Frontierland depot, he filled the train up with water. The trains at Disneyland are the only daily operating steam trains. He even opened up the compartment where the coals were burning (to make the steam) so I could dry off since I had gotten wet on Splash Mountain!

With respect to the train being filled with diesel, Big J states that the trains at Disneyland are the only daily operated steam trains. There are a number of other narrow-gauge steam trains that operate daily in California, including at Roaring Camp in Felton.

In the Toontown Fire Department there is a doorbell and when you press it you here barking and stuff. If you look at the Fire Department there is a dog barking out the window which appears to be one of the 101 Dalmatians!

One of the most enjoyable things to do in Toontown is to have as unsuspecting friend ring the doorbell at the Electric Co. My friend must have jumped five feet into the air! ;)

On my last trip to Disneyland my brother and I were sitting in Toontown, on the steps of the Electric Company. I looked up and noticed there was a sign that said Dog Pound, but instead of dog sounds there were cat sounds coming from the window. It is one of the windows on the same building as the Fire Station,but behind, and across from the Toontown Five & Dime.

Above the top part of the Cartoon Mountain's in Toontown the top of a cast member parking structure on Ox Road can be seen from various places. At times you can see people peeking over.

All the trees seen by the cartoon hills of Mickey's Toontown look really, really tall next to the towering hills. But from backstage, you can see that the "towering" hills are actually about six feet tall, and set on a huge scaffolding. As are the four-foot trees, planted in a base and set, also, on scaffoldings. And yes, Backstage pictures are strictly forbidden!

Disneyland launches their "Fantasy in the Sky" fireworks from the top level of the parking structure in the Disneyland TDA building. That is why this area, and Toontown, is closed down every night in the summer at 8:45 due to the fireworks fallout. The TDA building is located a few hundred meters behind Toontown (to the north to be exact). The cast members working at the TDA (Team Disney Anaheim) building are required to stay indoors while the fireworks are happenning.

While visiting Disneyland with my wife, I was amazed to see two different varieties of hot peppers growing in the Toontown garden. One group of peppers were Tabascos (very hot) and the others were Bolivian Rainbow peppers!! (even hotter). Both were within arms reach if anyone was brave enough. I am sure they planted them for their beautiful colors but these plants are potent! I think they should make Mickey hot sauce!

Find the manhole in between the Five and Dime, and the post office-like building, with the talking mailbox out in front of it - (all next to Roger Rabbit's ride). If you stand with one foot on either side of this manhole, it'll talk to you.

Yes! In fact, the man hole in front of the photo shop in Toon Town talks if you step on it hard enough. It says all different things like "Hey, quiet up there! We're in the middle of a poker game!" and "Who iiis it?". My brother and I go to Disneyland all the time and I ALWAYS impress people with my Disney Knowledge.

I think that when our Mickey Moo passed away, they put the Hidden Mickey on Clarabell's yogurt shop as a memorial. It looks just like the one on that was on Mickey Moo.

If you ever need a drink of water Toontown is the place to get it. Go to the water fountains shaped like barrels with all sorts of crazy writing on them located just around the right corner of the bathrooms and take a drink, first listen. Voices from inside the can say things like "Leave some water in the ocean" and so forth, one of these voices includes Goofy's. Also look at the water coming out of the fountain. Due to some really cool lighting, it looks as though the water is multi-colored. It is a very funny thirst quenching experience.

The Goofy Fountain is linked together, ie, they both draw directly from the same source. This allows for some fun. Press one, and the other will be a smaller stream. Let go and it will jump. Sometimes I'll play with kids (or siblings) by splashing water in their face while they're drinking the "small stream"

I was at Disneyland today with my 5 year old girl in Toontown making a pay phone call. I was there about 1 min when a security man ask me if I dialed 911? I said no. My little girl was playing with the phone next to the one I was on. I guese they have the phones hook up in case of someone getting hurt so they can be there first .
