There is an interesting parallel between the five Muses in Hercules and the five singing busts in The Haunted Mansion. During Meg's song in Hercules, the Muses sing backup, at one point becoming a row of five busts. The fat one takes her place at second from the left, with her head removed from the shoulders. This is not unlike the arrangement of the singing busts in The Haunted Mansion. Their setup is identical to this, including a broken bust sitting second from the left.

There are several parallels between Hercules and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. When Hercules first enters the Temple of Zeus, the chord structure in the music is not unlike that found at the end of "The Bells of Notre Dame" in Hunchback. In several of the Hercules commercials there is a scene with Pegasus and Hercules putting their hand (and hoof) prints into wet cement in front of the Mann Chinese Theater (it doesn't actually show the theater, but its implied). This is of course to show Herc's rise to stardom, but I gave it a little thought and realized a couple of things.
Right across the street from the real Mann Chinese is the Disney-owned El Capitan which shows all the latest Disney movies (including Hercules when it gets released) along with short stage shows that include classic moments from classic Disney movies).
Drip Drip Drop was not the original song they were going to use, they were going to do a song called "I like falling" sung from the perspective of a rain drop.
REPORTED: Annie 07 OCT 97
There were a few posts referring to Hercules and Pegasus making imprints in the cement at the Chinese theater. If you look carefully you'll see that is says "To Sid" I think this is a reference to the Sid's movie memorabilia store that is located right inside the gate at Disney's MGM studios. I can't remember the correct name of the store.
REPORTED: Greg Reese 17 APR 00
Disney MGM Studios has a full-size replica of the Mann Chinese (I believe it contains The Great Movie Ride). They ought to display a cement slab that supposedly has Herc's and Pegasus's prints.
The real Mann Chinese has a cement slab which supposedly has the footprints of several Star Wars characters. MGM also has the Star Wars characters, but not at the Mann Chinese replica. Instead they're in their own attraction, Star Tours.
These are probably all coincidences, but...
