In the Rescuers Down Under, the mouse doctor has on a green uniform when he is about to do surgery on Wilber. This is after Wilber has just said that he felt like his head was in a vice. When looking at the X-ray, the doctor's uniform changes back to the original white one, without the rubber gloves. Then in the next scene, he's back in the green uniform. I don't know if this is on all the tapes, but it's on my new version.

When Dodger steals the hot dogs, he has his bandana on under them (when they tackily wrap around his neck). He starts singing 'Why Should I Worry?' and his bandana is gone, yet the hot dogs are wrapped 'neater' around his neck. When he returns home, his bandana is back and the hot dogs are tackily wrapped around his neck again.

In "The Rescuers Down Under" Bernard and and Bianca are seen
as the Rescue Aid Society delegates from the United States and Hungary. However, in "The Rescuers," Bernard is just the janitor. I guess the one mission caused quite a
promotion!

Walt Disney said Friday, Jan 8, 1999, that it's recalling 3.4 million
copies of its video release "The Rescuers" because two frames of the animated feature
contained "an objectionable background image."
The company (DIS) issued the 1977 film about two mice who become involved in a complex
rescue mission to video stores Jan. 5.
In a statement, Disney said the images can't be seen under
ordinary viewing circumstances, "since they advance at the rate
of 30 frames per second on video."
But in an age when VCRs have sophisticated pause and freeze
frame technology, the company said it wants to "keep its promise
to families that they can trust and rely on the Disney brand."
Customers who bought the video can exchange it by C.O.D. mail
to BVHE, Dept. 100, 1240 E. 230th St., Carson, Calif. 90745.

REPORTED: CBS 08 JAN 99
According to several news articles today, Disney has recalled the Rescuers
video due to an objectionable scene in 2 frames of the 110,000 frames of the film.
The scene depicts a topless woman in place of one of the windows of a building
in the background. The precise location of the frame is aprox 38 minutes into
the video as Orville (carrying the two mice) fly down the building...just as
Orville is coming out of the freefall, the image of the topless woman is
visible in two frames when viewed in slow motion/still. AND YES IT'S THERE!!
While Disney and others have acknowledged that the objectionable scene is NOT
visible during normal viewing, Disney has chosen to recall 3.4 MILLION copies
of the tape.
Imagine over 3,000,000 video tapes being disposed because of one scene that's
not visible during normal viewing. Even in still frame the picture of the
topless woman is only about 2" x 1" on a 19" TV and difficult to make out much
detail.
