In Disney World there is a ride originally called Countdown to Extinction and now Dinosaur! In it the "terrible", "flesh eating" dino is a Carnotaurus - same as in Dinosaur!. In Jurassic Park III, the people are running from the Dinos. The big bad Spinosaurus has eaten the satphone so early on they can hear him (don't ask me why its always ringing) when he gets close. Later they are floating down the river trying to get away and hear the phone and its in dino dodo. So they stop to search the poop to get the phone. While they are up to their elbows in dino dodo, up comes a Carnotaurus! This terrible dino (used by DIsney) walks up, sniffs the people and wanders away! This happens when every other big dino is trying to eat them! I think its a BIG poke at Disney that "we make more scarey/real dinos than you do"!

I just saw the new movie "Scary Movie 2" with a few of my friends. Near the end of the movie there is a scene where they are racing wheelchairs through the hallway of the huanted house and on one wall there is a hidden mickey. The wall is blue and there are 3 gold plates or round pictures hanging on the wall in the background set up in the mickey shape. I thought it looked odd but two of my friends saw the same thing so I know I didn't imagine it. Has anyone else seen this?

In the movie Shrek there is an obvious parody of Disney theme parks. There is a sign at the entrance to the town that looks exactly like the signs at the entrances to the rides at the parks that tell you how long the wait is from the entrance. Once inside the town Shrek & Donkey listen to a song at the information booth that sounds quite similar to "It's a Small World".

When I was little, I used to be very scared of Pirates of the Carribean at Disneyland. When I finally went on it, I noticed the shadows of two dueling men projected onto some rocks right after the big pirate battle scene. Then I saw the movie, "Hook." Towards the end of the movie, When Peter Pan and Captain Hook are fighting, their shadows are projected on a wall. Then I thought to myself, "Hmm, that looks just like that scene on Pirates of the Carribean." I know the movie was made after the ride was made, and I also know that the projected shadows on the ride are original. If this is a coincedence, then someone please respond! Weird!

I would just like to verify the Hidden Mickey behind Luke in The Empire Strikes Back: Special Edition (It can be seen to the right of Luke during the fight with Darth Vader when he slashes the first flying object. It is made of three gold circles.) I would also like to add that this Hidden Mickey also appears in the original version of The Empire Strikes Back. It is in the scene where there is a forward shot of Luke in the area that he gets sucked out of. Before he and Vader fight, there is a shot of Luke and you can see a passageway of some sort behind him. To the right of this passage way are three gold circles that form the Mickey. If you can get a copy of the Behind the Magic CD, you can find the Mickey if you go through the Empire Strikes Back Scene by Scence Section.

In Tim Burton's "Sleepy Hollow" (1999), the VERY FIRST SHOT of the film has a (not so) hidden Mickey. In the opening scene (and I mean the first thing you see after the studio logos), droplets of a red substance (which turns out to be wax) fall onto paper... and the first three droplets make the shape of our favorite mouse. Remember that Burton began his career at Disney, doing the shorts "Vincent" and "Frankenweenie" there.

This was one of the first hidden Mickeys I had ever heard of and I thought it was pretty well known, so I was surprised not to see it on your list! The movie in question is the original Gremlins, famous for the Snow White movie screening that captivates the evil gremlins. In this particular scene, during the rousing chorus of "Hi-Ho" there is a pan of the theater with the back row silhouetted. Near the end of that last row of gremlins is the distinct shape of Mickey's head. Some say that it was a gremlin with Mickey ears, but I remember reading that the filmmakers actually stuck a Mickey puppet in there.

In the movie "Gremlins", there is a scene where all of the gremlins are inside the movie theater watching "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". As the camera pans the gremlin audience, one gremlin is seen wearing Mickey Mouse ears!
REPORTED: Gina Leader 18 JUN 01
I think this may count as a "Hidden Mickey". In the movie Gremlins, all of the gremlins are taking refuge in the theater where Snow White is playing. When Doc starts the "Hi-Ho" song, all the gremlins stop what they are doing and watch the scene. Then the camera pans the row of gremlins in the theater seats and all their heads are bobbing back and forth, keeping time to the music and "singing" along with the dwarves. At the VERY end of the row-before the camera switches angles-there is a Mickey Mouse head keeping time with the rest of the gremlins. It is very quick, so a pause button may come in handy if you have a vcr (or if it is out on DVD).

I've spotted hidden Mickeys in Warner Bros. cartoons. In one episode of Animaniacs that aired a while ago, there was a segment that was a parody of Pocahontas. I forgot what it was called, but in it, the John Smith character was spotted wearing Mickey shorts. There are two Looney Tunes cartoons where I spotted hidden Mickeys.
