On the computers equipped with web browsers, we were able to check our e-mail via telnet:// from the browsers. We had to use the IP address rather than the hostname, though. Plus we had to be careful because it is also displayed above the computers on the oversized screen - for all guests to see!

In one of the Innovention buildings there is a show with Bill Nye and the "clouds of doubt". Around the room there are all sorts of gizmos and half completed science projects. If you closely, you will notice on the left hand side of the large screen, there is a jar with butterflies (fake of course). The wings are actually moving!

The Apple computers in Innoventions that are running AOL are being watched by a Cast Member in some room. I went to my home page and after about a 1 min a instant message from sysadmin poped up and said "cool site" at that second I grabbed a Cast Member on the floor and asked him about. He said they they needed to have someone monitoring the people so they don't acess inappropriate sites, they can even move the mouse pointer if you're on too long.

Although you can't check you personal mail unless you're on AOL, you can get a HotMail account and email while you are at Innoventions.

They blocked some sites like hotmail and parts of geocities at the AT&T pavilion claiming that hotmail and geocities were having server problems - I DON'T THINK SO!! The Oracle exhibit in the other side of Innoventions lets you get into everything!!

On the top of the building behind Spaceship Earth there is a camera. It is operated by anyone visiting the VIP/AT&T lounge on the 2nd floor via touch screen terminal. It has a high enough zoom that you can see if a person is wearing earrings while standing under the monorail track at the gateway to World Showcase.
