1. In the final scene, on the wall on the far left, a wreath is hung. The wreath is decorated with Christmas ornaments. On the right side of the wreath, 3 of the ornaments (1 large, two smaller) form a near-perfect Hidden Mickey. This is best viewed from the far right of the seating area.

1. There's a water tower with ears, Earful Tower, on the way to Disney World once you're on the road leading to Disney World's Disney Studios. This is actually on the Studios' property but you can see it directly from the road its so big. You can't miss it, and during the holiday season, they put a cap on it!

Hollywood/Echo Lake Area

1. There are several Hidden Mickeys in the Christmas lights display on Hollywood Blvd. the first house on the right as you are choralled down the street has a Mickey in the garage window outlined in green lights. Also, there is one in the large light tree near the end of the street on the left -- up about 50 feet in the air. The path back to the plaza is also lit with Mickey shaped light displays.

New York Street and Residential Street

1. This year there are over 100 Mickeys hidden in the Osborne Family Christmas Light Display. One of the best ones is the third puff of smoke coming from the christmas train's engine about 3/4 of the way through.

2. This Mickey can only be seen during the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights. The clock tower just at the entrance to the show is, of course, covered in lights. However, on one and only one side (the back side), instead of having a clock, is has Mickey ears. It is easiest to see it by simply going to the spectacle and looking over your shoulder and seeing it. Note that simply passing by on Residential street may not be enoguh to see it. The lights must be on.

3. A holiday Hidden Mickey is in the Osborne Family Christmas Light Display. As you walk down Residential Street, the back lot street behind New York Street, the last display on the right is all red lights. At the bottom of the display closest to the road there is a clear Mickey at the bottom of the lights.

   There are multiple hidden Mickeys in the Osborne light display at Disney Studios. Among those I saw were a Mickey in the middle of the large red light tree on top of a house and one of the soldiers at the end of the light show has as his face a Mickey.

   There is a brand new Hidden Mickey in this year's Spectical of Lights display. I saw them building it. As you walk down Residential Street the last large tree of lights on your left has a light string blinking in a different order and seperately rigged than the rest that is at the bottom and red. It is a definately on purpose Hidden Mickey.

   We confirm the use of the Osborne lights at Christmas time. We had the wonderful opportunity to experience the lights first hand. The first time we saw it (1995), there was only one set of lights shaped like Mickey - near the end of the display. In 1996, there were Mickey shapes everywhere! Totally incredible!!

4. When leaving the Osborne Family exibit, one of the last displays is a train. The train is puffing smoke. There are three puffs of smoke that alternate on and off, if you look at the second puff of smoke it is in the shape of Mickey's head.

   My wife and I were at the MGM Studios on Thursday and while we were walking through the Osborne family Christmas lights, we noticed a very obvious hidden Mickey. When you make the turn and head back around the area of the tram pick up for Catastrophe Canyon there is a lighted train on your right hand side. The lights are in motion. Even the smoke coming out of the engine. It is either the second or third puff of smoke that is our favorite pal.

1. There is a "Fab Four" totem pole, located in front of the gift shop in the Lodge. Sitting on top is a mouse (Mickey), on a dog (Goofy), on a duck (Donald), and all on top of a bear in the main area. They even put a Santa hat on Mickey for the holidays!

Holidays

During the Disney Holiday Season, Disney decorated the walkway in-between Starabillias and Forty-Thirst Street where there are always hanging lights, with rows of white metal doves. I spotted 2 hidden Mickeys intermingled with the doves. One in the beginning strand and one near the end. The ears where artistically bent just like the doves' wings.

1. Disney's decoration department is absolutely amazing. One day its just a park and the next its Christmas! During the holidays, we saw the beautiful hoiday displays at Walt Disney World. Went to the Studios for our last day and everything was gone overnight!

   My husband and I just returned from Disney World. We arrived on 10/30. We had tickets for the Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party. We went to the Magic Kingdom on Saturday morning to pick up the tickets and walk around there for awhile. It was all decorated with pumpkins, haystacks, spooky ghost sounds coming from the haystacks. We went to the party on Halloween nite, and when we returned to the Magic Kingdom on Monday, it was as if Halloween never happened. All traces of it disappeared!! Amazing!!

   My family and I went to Disney World just after Thanksgiving 1998. When we arrived the parks were already decorated for Christmas but our resort hotel (Coronado Springs) was not. During the course of our stay they began to decorate the resort for Christmas. It was amazing! The decorating took place mainly at night and the decorations were trucked in on huge transfer trucks.

2. My husband and I were staying at the Dixie Landings resort from Dec. 29 - Jan. 5, when we were in the lobby of Dixie Landings and Port Orleans on Jan.1, the decorations were being removed at 11:30 p.m. The amazing thing was that all the decorations from each place have their own marked trailer. One of the cast members told us that on New Year's Day, the decorations are taken down, put into the trailer and a diesel big rig hooks up to the trailer and hauls it to one of the back lots until the decorations are needed again. The next morning it didn't even look like Christmas had occurred except for the red poinsettias remaining outside which were removed the day we checked out, Jan. 5.

   The Christmas parade is indeed filmed over a period of 2-3 days prior to Christmas in the event of rain. We were at the Magic Kingdom for Christmas 96 and 97. From watching the Christmas 1997 parade on tv, you'd never guess it was raining all morning! I was fortunate enough to become buddies with a couple of the camera people during the filming of the 96 parade and when I viewed it later after returning home, I was in the crowd scenes 4 times wearing 2 different outfits!

It's A Small World

1. On a recent trip, the holiday decorations included a lot of lights on the Small World ride. It is truly an amazing sight! I asked a crew member how many lights there were, she did not know but in true Disney fashion, called to find out. She was told that there were 50,000 lights on the structure itself, and a total of 250,000 lights for the entire attraction. That sure beats the holiday displays at Epcot.

Epcot

1. In the Innoventions Plaza, there is a fountain. During regular times, it's just somthing there to say "Hey, that's neat". But during the Christmas season, the fountains are choreographed to the Christmas music playing. Just sitting on a bench and watching the fountains dance to the Christmas music is one of my favorite things to do. They play traditional Christmas music, plus original Christmas tunes written by some of my favorite artists (i.e. Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, etc.).

1. The Christmas Candlelight procession at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT are one and the same. It was moved from Main Street to the American Pavillion about 3 or 4 years ago. WDW now sells special package tickets to this function that includes dinner at your favorite restaurant within Epcot and prefered seating to this performance for 39.95 per person. (Admission to the park not included in that price) WDW is also offering the CD version of this concert. (recorded with Louis Gossett Jr. as the narrator during Christmas 1997)

1. During the holidays the miniture train set next to Germany is also decked out for Christmas. The engines have holiday decorations, the town square has a Christmas tree, and the houses are all decorated.

New York and Residential Streets

1. For eight years, Osborne, a Little Rock businessman, did what many people do at Christmas. He decorated his home and yard with lights. But he must have hit every sale on colored bulbs in the country because he used 2 million of them. And those millions of lights brought thousands of visitors to gawk and point, which brought Osborne's neighbors to a boil. After battles that went all the way to the United States Supreme Court, neighbors finally got what they wanted. An eye-popping Christmas light extravaganza at the Jennings Osborne home in Little Rock, Arkansas, is now dark. However, Osborne moved his holiday display to Disney Studios. He loaned Disney 2 million of his 3 million Christmas lights. The lights are used between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Every night at dusk, a child throws the switch to turn on Osborne's lights. And they're still on a residential street. In fact, it's called Residential Street. But here, no one worries about the neighbors. And no one worries about all the spectators. On this street, the houses are facades of the homes used in television shows.

   Disney just added another 1 million lights for 1996 to bring up the total to 4.5 million lights! If strung end-to-end the lights would span over 426 miles!!!

2. In the Osborne Family Christmas Light Display, Mister Osborne maintains control of the light display at the red brick house. Disney has artistic control over the rest of the Christmas display. For 1998, due to the upcoming bowl game for the University of Arkansas football team, part of the light display at the red brick house said, "Go Razorbacks!"
