General

  1. At the intersection of Frontierland and Adventureland, between Pecos Bill's Café and what used to be the entrance to the Walt Disney World Railroad, if you stand facing The Country Bear Jamboree, where the red walkway comes together at this point, there is a Hidden Mickey chipped away in the cement.

  1. In the Mike Fink Keelboat queue area, three pulleys hanging on the wall form Mickey.
    REPORTED: WDW List
As you descend down the ramp to the dock, look at the break room door and there to the right are three pulleys. They are formed in the shape of the three circles for Mickey's head. However they are not round in shape, they are noted as one by the Imagineers.
    CONFIRMED: Kim 05 APR 98
  2. As you ride the Liberty Belle or a Mike Fink Keelboat, look off to the right side of the boat, on the right side of the burning building on Tom Sawyer Island there are three wagon wheels that make a Hidden Mickey.
    REPORTED: Gary 13 NOV 95
  3. As you ride Big Thunder Mountain AT NIGHT you will notice a burning building on Tom Sawyer Island. The flaming hole in the center is in the shape of MICKEY. You have to be real quick because you only have about 2 seconds. I did confirm this one with a cast member.
    REPORTED: Jule 23 NOV 98
A friend of mine spotted this one during our first Splash Mountain trip at night. The whole group saw it and it was later confirmed by a cast member. You're first view of the burning cabin on Tom Sawyer's Island is off to you're right the first time you get to the top of the ride, outside. I really don't think from the Tom Sawyer raft ride to the island that you can see it this well. The roof is burning in the shape of a Mickey head!! It's too perfect to be an accident, and truly looks amazing. You can only see it from the top of Splash Mountain, and maybe only at night, but you can spot it quickly a few times - just keep looking in the direction of Tom Sawyer's Island - hidden Mickey lovers, you've got to see this one!
    CONFIRMED: Julie F. 23 NOV 98
  4. There is a Hidden Mickey in the Magnetic Mystery Mine. After you go through the slanted floor room, look through the boards in front of you (left of the waterfall.) A Hidden Mickey is formed by the shadow of lights. It is difficult to see after the recent rehab in this area.
    REPORTED: B 12 AUG 96
  5. When you exit the raft after returning from Tom Sawyer's Island, you proceed along the dock to your right. After you get back on dry land, look back to the small shack on a neighboring dock. A fishing net is hanging on the back, containing three glass globe fishing floats arranged as our hero. You can see this one quite well from the park bench on the shore there.

  3. Above the center of the stage, there is an Hidden Mickey formed by a flower and some scrollwork. It is just above the picture of Ursus H. Bear.
REPORTED: The Blanchette Family 22 JUN 97
There is a hidden Mickey on the top of the platform (where all the bears play-center stage). If you look up, you'll see a flower in the middle, with a squirrel. The squirrel's tail splits and the on top of the flower are two little balls.
    CONFIRMED: Jax 06 SEP 97
  4. I found a Hidden Mickey in the Country Bear Jamboree, on the hat of Henry, the bear host. It is on the Henry that is on stage left, the left side of his top hat, when he turns his head facing towards the animals on the right wall.
REPORTED: Jill Kovalic 25 SEP 96
  5. This one was so cleverly hidden I had to watch the show 3 times to make up my mind! In the Country Bear Jamboree, there is a Hidden Mickey on Big Al's guitar. On the part of the guitar where the strings connect (not by the neck, but near the main part with the hole) the string connectors are in the shape of our familiar friend. It's very tiny, so you will need to sit in the first couple of rows on the left side by the stage where Big Al appears to see it. It is probably worth mentioning that the Mickey is slightly hidden by Big Al's arm fur. There are 3 random dots to hold guitar strings on the base (part of guitar with the hole) However, just above that, for the other 3 strings, slighly hidden by his fur, the 3 dots form the tri-circle emblem.
REPORTED: Al Branch 10 SEP 98
  6. One of the backdrops that falls down during one of the songs contains a pile of logs on it. The ends of the logs come together in that familiar shape. It is proportional, and is visable only durring that song.

NOTE: I used to work at Splash Mountain, and many of the sightings have been blown out of the water. There are only three Hidden Mickeys in Splash Mountain that were put there by the Imagineers on purpose. All three are in the ride. One definitely is off to the side of the River Boat. But the other two are in the ride, shaped into the rock lining of the flume. If you look carefully, not only will you see them, but you will see them in complete and total detail. Shape of the eyes, nose, smile, ears, etc. Once you see them, you will realize that the acorns in the queue, the barrels in B lift are all just in that position by accident and are not representative of Mickey by the Imagineers.
UPDATE: Brian Rosenblum 14 MAY 97

  1. I was informed by a Cast Member that there are no Mickeys in the line for Splash Mountain, only in the ride itself.

  2. When you enter the open courtyard loading area of Big Thunder Mountain, look up at the weather vane that is on the roof. The roof spike pointing up has a circle design. If you look at the way the West and East arms of the arrow meet the vertical North-South spike, above the larger circles, you can see a Hidden Mickey formed by three circles. The face circle is on the spike and the ear circles are created by the way the East-West arms of the arrow meet above the face circle. This is not as obvious in design as the Grand Floridan weather vanes but nevertheless we believe it is a Hidden Mickey.

  3. Just before the big drop is a Hidden Mickey. It isn't the "traditional" Hidden Mickey (Face on) but a side view.
    REPORTED: Pete LaMaster
The face that is seen just before the big drop is in fact that of Mickey. With a slight outward and upward tilt on his face, the rock shapes are too conspicuous to be just random placement.
CONFIRMED: Michael Thomas 08 JAN 96
I kept telling my friends that Mickey was in the mouth of the drop at Splash Mountain. No one else could see it but I see it clearly every time. It is not the more traditional Mickey but a side view with his nose sticking out towards the middle. I saw this only at Disney World and looked at Disneyland but didn't see it there. I first noticed it when someone showed me their video of Splash. I kept telling them to rewind it but they didn't get it.
CONFIRMED: Barbara Mizuhata 06 FEB 96
There a hidden Mickey in the architecture of Splash Mountain. If you look at it from directly in front of the big waterfall, the opening of the chute is in the shape of a Mickey head, rotated to the side 90 degrees.
CONFIRMED: tim devine 02 MAY 98
The hidden Mickey head tilted (the part you shoot out off) well if you notice it looks like a whole portrait of Mickey. Almost like he is leaning.
    CONFIRMED: Debbie 24 SEP 98

  4. If you look very carefully when you are in line waiting for Splash Mountain there is a sign that says Splash Mountain. On the "O" on Mountain it looks like a Bear's foot print. If if you look very carefully it actually looks like Mickey's head!
    REPORTED: Joe 22 APR 98
  5. If you are on the left side of the line, you will see "portraits" of various characters from "Song of the South", in Br'er Rabbit's portrait, look at the bushes behind him, on the furthest left will be a familiar Mickey head (pretty unarguably, too) on a bit of foliage.
REPORTED: Joe Garcia 26 SEP 98

Just as you start to go around the corner at the light that is rectangular in the front and rounded around in the back. On the curved part on the back of the light is a number of holes and when it's turned on the light from these holes form Hidden Mickeys on the wall. 10. In the queue, you head upstairs in a barn. There is a cooling fan about eye level which the motor has two additional 'disks' attached to it forming a familiar Mickey head!
    REPORTED: John C Lewandowski 07 DEC 95
Fan must be running to see Mickey "ears", otherwise you can't see it.
    UPDATE: Uswat 19 JAN 96
If you look at it from the upstairs of the barn, you see the filled-in center of the fan's cage in the shape of a circle. To the upper left and upper right of the center circle, there are two smaller discs, as reported, that, when looked at closely, appear to form a Hidden Mickey. I saw the Hidden Mickey a few times, all with the fan on.
CONFIRMED: Jeff Strahota 02 AUG 96
A definite Mickey around the motor
CONFIRMED: Henry Sampson 01 DEC 96
I've never been able to figure this one out. Should one look from upstairs down into the barn area, or from downstairs, looking up from downstairs? In my last two trips (8/96 and 4/97) I kept looking as we moved through the area and never saw anything like a Hidden Mickey. Are we talking about a ceiling fan, a window fan, or the fan that is downstairs and helps split the line when you enter the barn? Can someone give a better description?
QUESTIONING: Melanie Emmons 02 OCT 97
  11. In the first queue area after you enter the doors, just before you go outside to go up the stairs. The walls are made of stone, and on the right hand side about 4 feet off the ground are a certain pattern of stones. 40. It seems to me that the Disney folks wanted to create a Mickey "Mount Rushmore." At night, stand at the exit of Big Thunder Mountain, and look at the top of Splash Mountain. Move your head down and to the left. You'll see a three-dimensional Mickey (including his nose) carved outward and to the left. It looks like there are two other heads carved below his -- the one immediately beneath him looks like a turtle. My girlfriend, Lori, said it looks like E.T. Below this one the head looks like it might be Br'er Rabbit.
REPORTED: Scott Baker 03 MAR 96
The "Mt. Rushmore" Mickey is there, and quite obvious. It's a side-on view of the mouse looking toward the final drop of Splash Mt. However, you have to be at the point just after you exit Big Thunder. When you exit from the right hand trains there is a stone wall on your right as you exit. Where that wall ends, stop and look at Splash. It's about 2/3-3/4 of the way up the mountain, but quite obvious. A log and downward-turned limb form his mouth (slightly open), and the lighting is just so that the shadows against the mountain make the inside of his eye and ears. I even asked a Cast Member about it, and he said that he had heard rumors about it, but had never actually seen it. It's a spectacular specimen of a Hidden Mickey.
CONFIRMED: Loren Jones 03 NOV 96
The Mount Rushmore Mickey is very hard to spot, but it's there. I also see another "face" (it can best be seen in the Thunder Mountain line, to the left of the tree stump), but I can't tell who it is.

I also saw this Mt. Rushmore Hidden Mickey. My mother and I stood there trying to figure out who else was there. Below and to the left looks like a side profile of Goofy. He said that there was nothing because there were only Hidden Mickeys inside Splash Mountain.
