The images you see here are composites of United States Geological Survey (USGS) georectified digitized aerial photographs (known as digital orthophotoquads) and high-resolution, declassified, Russian spy and mapping satellite images collected with the SOVINFORMSPUTNIK KVR 1000 camera system and available from SPIN-2. The data was collected between 1992 and 1995. The majority of the images are from the 1995 time frame.
