The following is a listing of what is planned, currently under construction or newly opened
at Walt Disney World. This information has been compiled from a number of sources. If I left something out
that one of you folks out there might know about, then please
share it with the
rest of us.
Several years ago WDW was planning on building a Haunted Hotel. Its was to be complete with ghost sightings in ones hotel room and in the hallways. I saw the illustrated plans but since then I haven't heard anything about it. Since the Haunted Mansion is so popular, what a wonderful resort idea that would be. Has anyone else heard about it?

We just returned from WDW. We saw the ground work for the new resort near the
Studios. It looks as if they are doing the preparatory work of clearing and
grading the land, water control and general layout. And it is BIG!
The new AK resort is well under way. It can be seen as you ride the bus and
it turns toward the bus loading area.
The new DVC villas at the WL are well under way. It is one large building
with 2 "wings". One is off set from the other. The villas are adjacent to the
bus transportation area and have primarily woods views with some of the
closest having a 'view' of the bus area/parking lot. They are scheduled for
completion in January, 2001 and no date for reservations has been set yet.

The new value resort will be called "Disney's Pop Century Resort." ÊIt is set to open on December 15, 2001.
